AES
(FIPS-197) A NIST encryption standard to be used when transmitting sensitive information. The symmetric-key (or single-key or secret-key) block cipher algorithm operates on 128-bit blocks and accommodates three standard key lenghts: AES-128, AES-192, and AES-256 of 128, 192 or 256 bits respectively. It replaces the older DES algorithm. See DES.
