WAP
The principle standard protocol for accessing information by handheld wireless devices such as digital mobile phones, pagers, two-way radios, etc. Supported by most wireless networks and operating systems, WAP uses a micro-browser, with minimal demands on hardware, memory, and CPU, that displays information written in XML-based WML (Wireless Markup Language) and WMLScript, a reduced version of JavaScript.
