RS-232-C
In data communications, a set of standards specifying various electrical and mechanical characteristics for interfaces between computers, terminals, and modems, including a physical interface consisting of 15 or 25 pins (or leads), each of which is numbered and provides a function, such as timing, control, or the sending of data.
