MIRRORING
A disk drive redundancy methodology where the computer contains one disk controller connected to separate disk drives. Data is written through the same controller to the disk drives, providing disk redundancy but not controller, redundancy. Because mirroring uses the same disk controller, it requires more overhead than duplexing and provides less redundancy.
