FHSS
One of two types of spread spectrum radio modulation used in WLAN (or LAWN) transmissions where the data signal is modulated with a narrowband carrier signal that "hops" in a pseudo-random, predictable sequence from frequency to frequency as a function of time over a wide band of frequencies. Used in 802.11 WLANs and Bluetooth PANs. See also DSSS AND OFDM
