DSSS
One of two types of spread spectrum radio modulation used in WLAN (or LAWN) transmissions where a data signal at the sending station is combined with a higher data rate bit sequence, chipping code, that divides the user data according to a spreading ratio. Used with CCK in 802.11b and 802.11g WLANs. See also FHSS and OFDM.
