CLASS
In object-oriented programming, the template (a set of definitions) of data and functionality (methods) to manipulate that data for some (real-world) entity, e.g., a shape (circle, square), cat (animal, furry), etc. A class is the basis of program modularity and structiure, encapsulating all relevant information about that class. When executed, a class instantiates objects based on the class. See Object.
